About SOA Nigeria

Developing Ocean Leaders

We are the Nigerian chapter of the global Sustainable Ocean Alliance — a youth-led movement building the next generation of ocean champions.

Who We Are

Nigeria's Youth-Led Ocean Movement

Sustainable Ocean Alliance Nigeria (SOA Nigeria) is a non-profit organisation and the Nigerian chapter of the global Sustainable Ocean Alliance. As one of the largest networks of young ocean leaders spanning over 180 countries, we are dedicated to implementing innovative and sustainable solutions to protect and restore the health of our ocean.

We mobilise young Nigerians to become ocean advocates through education, community action, and policy engagement. Whether it's fighting deep seabed mining, organising beach cleanups, or building ocean literacy — we are committed to a Nigeria where the ocean thrives.
